Heritage Health Hearings

Heritage Health is Nebraska’s new Medicaid managed care health care delivery system. It launched in January 2017 with three managed care organizations (MCO) assuming responsibility to manage care for Medicaid members under their plans. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) shoulders oversight of each plan’s contractual obligations and adherence. Former Medicaid Director Calder Lynch stated that the “goal for Heritage Health is simple: improved health outcomes for our members.”

School Based Health Alliance Conference

Being an avid baseball fan, there are very few activities that would have me leaving Omaha as the College World Series is beginning. But the SBHA Vision of "All children and adolescents are healthy and achieving at their fullest potential" has propelled several members of our OPS School Based Health Center team from both BHF and our two Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) partners to head to Long Beach ,CA to attend this year’s School-Based Health Alliance national conference.

Breaking the Cycle of Poverty – A Multigenerational Approach

On June 8, United Way hosted a symposium featuring keynote speaker Anne Mosle, Vice President and Executive Director of Ascend at the Aspen Institute.
